Rio Vista CARE Celebrates 27 Years in Rio Vista
CARE In The Community Column will start appearing monthly in the Beacon
On March 15, Rio Vista CARE (CARE) celebrated its 27th anniversary of serving
people in Rio Vista and nearby Delta communities. During this time, we have provided
services to over 9,000 people. This is more than the entire population of the
city of Rio Vista. Thank you for the consistent and heartfelt support that you have
provided to make this possible!
So what is the CARE In The Community Column? I am glad you asked. Although
CARE has been in operation for over a quarter of a century , we sometimes find that
people are not familiar with the important services CARE provides.
The CARE In The Community Column will appear once a month, and will change
that. You will learn about the exciting new direction CARE is heading, become informed
about our inspirational programs, receive up-to-date information regarding
our amazing events, stay current on news and trends affecting the youth and families
of our community and discover what CARE volunteers are doing, and ways in
which you can become involved.
For example, during a recent strategic planning session, the Vision and Mission of
CARE were updated to reflect the new direction of our or ganization. At CARE, we
envision vibrant, supportive communities in which we cultivate hope and guide
people to navigate difficult situations and achieve optimal well -being. Our mission
is to cultivate hope, enhance well-being, and strengthen communities.
We welcome your ideas about how we – at CARE and together as a community –
can accomplish this mission and achieve this vision.
