Rio Vista ATOD Collaborative Offers Free Alcoholic Beverage Service Training

The Rio Vista Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Collaborative will be offering Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training on Saturday, April4, The Rio Vista Alcohol,
Due to construction at the Firehouse, the class will meet at City Hall from 9-12

Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) is a community-based approach to reducing risks associated with retail alcohol environments. RBS has three essential elements: policy development, merchant education, and partnerships with law enforcement.

Research shows that simply training servers and sellers is not enough to create long-term change; a successful RBS program must be rooted in the community. The training program is tailored to the community’s concerns: off-sale (stores), on-sale (bars, restaurants), or special events (fairs, festivals).

If you are a business, service club, restaurant owner, or a member of any other group who plan on, or already serve or sell alcohol, this training is for you! The City of Rio Vista ATOD Coalition is offering this useful, and in some cases, required, training at NO COST to you! Successful completion of the class provides RBS certification valid for 2 years. Funding for this pro¬gram is provided by the Solano County Board of Supervisors and the Reducing Rates Coalition to the Rio Vista ATOD Collaborative.
If you are interested in participating in this class, call Beth Roberts at 707-374-6451, ext. 106, to sign up. Sign up deadline is Thursday, April 12
