On June 15, Gov. Gavin Newsome terminated restrictions on physical distancing, capacity limits on businesses, and county tier system in California that were put in place March 2020, responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
People who are vaccinated could go without face coverings inside most public places. But that was before the Delta variant that is spreading rapidly worldwide and now is more prevalent in the U.S.
Research shows that the delta variant is surging through populations with low vaccination rates, confirming that COVID-19 vaccines offer strong protection against a coronavirus mutant.
The Tri-City NAACP, working with other businesses and organizations, will host a Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, July 31.
From 10 a.m. to 2, COVID-19 vaccinations will be offered to individuals 12-years-old and older regardless of health insurance or immigration status at Bethel Community Church, 600 East Tabor Ave, Fairfield.
Individuals 12 to 17-years-old will need in-person or virtual parental consent at the event, says organizers.

Booking an appointment reserves both the first and second dose scheduled for August 21. Appointments times will remain the same for both dates.
Social distance and mask safety will be required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will also be given to those in need.
