This year’s musical performances all feature a real depth of talent and experience with bands
that are true to their genre and perform with superb musicianship and showmanship. The three
returning bands have all exhibited a real connection with the audience and a joy of performing
that is infectious. New to the lineup is Buck Ford, a young local artist with a successful recording
career and another new album just out. Here’s the lineup:
10am-12:30 Wildcat Mountain Ramblers, Bluegrass
1-3pm Buck Ford Pure Country Band
3:30-6 pm Don Gato Latin Band
6:30pm – closing Matt Applin and the Midnight Band (R&B)
WILDCAT MOUNTAIN RAMBLERS, “the most entertaining band around” features Suzanne
Cornelius, vocalist and winner of the Northern California Bluegrass Society’s bass player of the year. She plays many instruments and writes some of the band’s music. Notable fact is that
they do not arrive with a set playlist, but rather select spontaneously from their huge musical
repertoire based on audience feedback. They clearly love performing and share their joy with
the audience.
BUCK FORD PURE COUNTRY BAND features music written by Buck Ford in true country tradition
with “modern style edginess. “ We are very pleased and excited to welcome the real deal to
our lineup. Buck has a number of successful albums to his credit including several recorded in

performing, he makes his home with wife and kids in Vacaville.
DON GATO LATIN BAND returns to the Hog August Bites stage after a terrific performance last
year that had the audience jumpin’ and dancin’. Together for seven years, their leader Orlando
Ramos describes their music as “eclectic Latin music that will keep you on your feet.” Check

MATT APPLIN AND THE MIDNIGHT BAND this great local band is very well known for its
Motown ‘70’s R&B funk music. The band features superb vocalists and Matt puts on a great
show with a lot of interaction with the audience. They will close out the show with the audience
calling for more.
