In downtown Rio Vista, Rio Hot Yoga is one of the newest businesses to open. In talking about opening his yoga studio, owner longtime resident Jacob Meyers couldn’t stop smiling. He has lived in Rio Vista for about 25 years, but took some time away from the city by the water to live in Brentwood and San Diego. He was introduced to Hot Yoga four years ago in San Diego. As a result, he lost 70 pounds, cleared up his Psoriasis, and no longer has nerve pain. His life is changed by hot yoga. He became a certified Bikram Yoga teacher and moved back to Rio Vista to open up his studio. It took him a while to find the perfect location, 22 Main Street, just a stretch away from the river. Their first class was on Christmas, for a few family members and friends, and it has taken off from there.
