3 Generations Walking/Riding/Cheering!

Three years ago, the Victorians brought their Annual MS WALK to Rio Vista. Since 2008 Victoria Muñoz has led a team of friends and family who support her in her effort to help the National MS Society raise awareness and funds to find the cure for Multiple Sclerosis. When Covid shut down the MS Walk in Suisun in 2022, the MS Society consolidated it with its other local Walks at the State Capitol in Sacramento. The Victorians decided to forge ahead in their efforts to battle MS (and Covid) by holding their own MS Walk right here in Rio Vista. Atlantic Park in Trilogy Rio Vista proved to be the perfect place for the Victorians to meet and offer its participants five different routes with varying lengths, all starting and ending at the same place in the park.

Again this year, on Saturday, April 13th, the Victorians will be meeting at Atlantic Park from 9 to noon. But this time it will be much larger with the Walk being supported by three different generations. There will be the “Trilogy” generation of Victoria’s friends, her son’s Gen X who also attends, and for the first time this year, the Rio Vista Youth Center’s Gen Z will be participating. It’s exciting that everyone from Rio Vista will be joining the loyal Victorians who have walked each year for 17 years!

It’s now time to register with the team whether you want to walk, cheer or just support the effort virtually at https://events.nationalmssociety.org/team/Victorians
