Solano Land Trust’s 34th Annual Rush Ranch Open House is almost here! Enjoy a day at Rush Ranch at this free event on Saturday, April 20th from 10am to 3pm. This year’s event promises an array of exciting activities for all ages and interests. Meet the horses and foals that live at this working ranch, take a tranquil horse-drawn wagon ride amongst the pastures and hills with Access Adventure (with accessible options), and find the perfect gift for a friend from a local artist or farmer!
Along with the horses, you can also see the beehive display from the event’s sponsor Tauzer Apiaries. Erickson Ranch, Laura Ann Designs, The California Native Plant Society, Peña Adobe Historical Society, and Crescent Moon Center will have tables as well.
For lunch, you can grab a delicious meal from the Dogfather food truck and enjoy it at a picnic table. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and have a picnic.
Join a guided hike of Rush Ranch’s trails and learn about what makes the habitat there so special, attend a presentation in the Nature Center from Sustainable Solano, and enter a raffle to win fabulous prizes!
This year our celebration of the land falls on Earth Day! We’re sponsoring an Earth Day Cleanup at the nearby Hill Slough Bridge on Grizzly Island Road from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and we’d also love to see volunteers at the other Earth Day opportunities all over the county.
