Solano Commission for Women and Girls Announces Birth Justice Resource Fair, Honoring Five Years of Birth Justice Work

The Solano Commission for Women and Girls, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, will host a Birth Justice Resource Fair commemorating five years of Birth Justice Solano. This event will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Solano Community College in Fairfield.

Now in its fifth year, the Birth Justice Resource Fair represents a sustained, community-driven effort to improve maternal and infant health outcomes across Solano County. The fair brings together trusted local organizations to connect women, birthing people, and families with critical resources, education, and support. Across five years, the Birth Justice Resource Fairs have served approximately 500 families and birthing people from every corner of Solano County.

This year, attendees will have access to maternal and infant health information, family support services, diapers and baby supplies, and direct connections to community-based providers serving Solano County.

“As we celebrate our fifth year, we are proud to partner with Solano Community College to host the Birth Justice Resource Fair in a space that allows us to reach more families and connect them with meaningful support,” said Jacqui Nguyen, Co-Chair of Programs for the Solano Commission for Women and Girls and Solano Community College Trustee.

Commissioner Rayshawnda Madison of the Solano Commission for Women and Girls added, “Five years into this work, what remains most meaningful is the ability to place real, tangible support into the hands of families. Birth justice is reflected in access, resources, dignity, and community care. This event represents our continued commitment to ensuring that women, birthing people, and families across Solano County feel seen, supported, and connected.”
