Twas the night before Christmas in Rio Vista; the wind was in the forecast, and not a creature was stirring, not even a bass. The wreathes were hung on the business doors with care, in hopes that customers soon would be there. The owners were nestled all snug in their shops, while RioVisions of buying local danced at their doorstops. And one shopkeeper in their kerchief, another in their cap, had just settled down for a night ahead with a nap. When out on the streets there arose such a clatter, that they sprang from their shops to see what was the matter. Away to the windows, they flew like a flash, opened the doors, and waited for the dash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen rain gave the luster of dusk of objects to claim. When, what to their wondering eyes should appear? But a city of customers, shopping locally this year.With some drivers, being so lively and quick, they had come shopping for their last-minute picks. More rapidly than eagles these shoppers came, and they whistled and shouted, and called the businesses by name.
Let’s shop at Pets 4 All, Visitor Center, and RioVision Gallery, they’re chic. Eat at Lucy’s, Taqueria Mexico, Ben’s Friends, Pizza a Go Go, and Foster’s it’s unique. Keep shopping at Donnelly Floral and Event Design, Ace Hardware, Lira’s, and Delta Pharmacy give them a shout. Then there is Rio Vista Holistic if you’re not feeling well when you’re out and about.Remember to shop for yourself this year. Like at Rio Hot Yoga, Clutterbug, Physic Shop, Abel Chevrolet, give them a cheer. You get the idea, get out there and shop local, support all businesses in Rio Vista, it’s very thoughtful. Not Just on Sidewalk Saturday, you need to shop here in town, EVERYDAY!!!
We heard everyone exclaim, as they went home for the night.
