AKIA Inspirations All-Natural Self Care and Wellness Products

Janice Wilson, Owner AKIA Products akiaproducts@gmail.com

AKIA Inspirations is one of the new businesses that were at the July Sidewalk Saturday.

The owner, Janice Wilson couldn’t be happier to have moved to Trilogy 10 years ago.  After visiting friends here,  she realized the benefits and enjoyment of living close to friends.  More importantly, Trilogy allows her to live closer and conveniently in proximity to her grandchildren and their parents, that are in Carmichael and Vallejo.

Before establishing AKIA Inspirations, Janice worked for over 40 years in the bioscience and pharmaceutical industries.  She had a pharmaceutical consulting business for the last 12 years of that career, specializing in Quality and Regulatory Compliance.  She established AKIA Inspirations (AKIA) in 2019 and formalized it about a month ago.

Janice started AKIA to help one of her sons manage his pain with CBD oil and it grew from there.  Janice incorporated products that she has been making for herself for at least 10 years.  About three years ago, she started sharing them with friends and dabbling in aromatherapy, which has led to lots of customization of products developed to meet specific needs.  For example, she woke one morning with a trigger finger and in less than one week of applying her special blend, it is no longer freezing up.  She is having lots of fun imagining how our ancestors practiced self-care before pharmaceutical companies existed.  Spending over 25 years heading quality programs in the pharma industry,  Janice has a lot of respect for the developments made to address the many illnesses and ailments that we humans have brought upon ourselves.  The only difference, AKAI uses only organic or 100 % pure ingredients. “No B.S. (Bad Stuff)” and she is having fun using her Ph.D. in chemistry formulating and sharing self-care and wellness products with family and friends and now the public at large.

AKIA Inspirations offer Self-Care products that include a multitude of proprietary customized essential oil blends that help manage the many forms of arthritis, focusing, insomnia, depression, and smoking cessation to name a few.  She also offers all-natural sleep sprays and balms as well as an extremely effective mosquito and insect repellent spray.  All sprays are water-based with a proprietary blend of essential oils.

The wellness products consist of full-spectrum CBD tinctures, salves, roll-ons, and creams that are great for balancing the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) and pain management.  AKIA’s CBD topical products are special (enhanced) because they contain essential oils that are added to address specific needs.  For example, a salve may also contain anti-inflammatory essential oils or essential oils that help with relaxation and sleep in addition to the full-spectrum CBD oil.  AKIA has a dog line of products named after Bradley, her neighbor’s dog that uses one of her CBD oil tinctures to help manage seizures. In addition to the tinctures, there is a dog calming spray, ABENA, developed for her granddog after she had surgery and found it difficult to manage her “cone”.

The future goal for the business is to continue to offer lower-cost Self-Care and Wellness products to family and friends throughout the country, with emphasis on the San Francisco Bay Area, starting with Rio Vista.  Stop by AKIA’s booth at the next Sidewalk Saturday and Bass Derby  Festival.

To order products,  or just learn about AKIA Inspirations products send an email to akiaproducts@gmail.com. AKIA’s website, www.akiainspirations.com is under construction and is expected to be fully functional by mid-July.  Janice can also be reached at 707-374-7514.
