*Names and other specific information to identify persons are intentionally omitted.  All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.  Charges may be changed or dropped.  This is not a reflection of every police activity, but rather a selective summary.

 September 11

A domestic violence incident was reported just outside of the city limits.  County Deputy Sheriff’s were on the way, but since we are closer, Officers responded to make sure that everyone was safe.  They learned that the suspect had fled the home and may be hiding in a nearby field.  An observant farmer noticed a vehicle in his field that didn’t belong there, so he told officers.  It turns out the truck belonged to the suspects girlfriend who came to pick him up.  One officer followed the truck while the responding deputies were able to intercept the truck at River Road.  The suspect was taken into custody with no issues.

September 12

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Bruning Avenue for a report of a package theft off of a porch. An observant witness was able to provide a vehicle and occupants description to officers. Within minutes, officers located a vehicle matching the description on River Road. When this car saw a police car turn around behind them, they started driving erratically by speeding and crossing the double yellow line on River Road.  Officers conducted an investigative stop on the vehicle in the 500 block of River Road. The officers confirmed that the two occupants also matched the physical description provided by witnesses. During the traffic stop, officers located the stolen package in the backseat.  Officers also learned the that vehicle was stolen out of Brentwood, and located a stolen firearm, drug paraphernalia, and a controlled substance. The female driver also had a warrant out for her arrest and the male passenger was on parole (PRCS).  Subsequently, both occupants were booked into the Solano County Jail on charges including, two counts of felony possession of stolen property, concealed firearm in a vehicle, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of a controlled substance, petty theft, a violation of Post Community Release Supervision, and a felony arrest warrant.

September 15

Two people were reported to b sleeping on a park bench in Trilogy.  Officers responded to make contact with them.  It turns out one of them was just 18 years old and reported missing from Southern California.  We called the agency that reported her missing and they said she was now an adult, and since she is safe, she is allowed to be away from home.  We confirmed that she was there voluntarily and not in any kind of distress.  Since no crimes were committed, both people were told to move along since Trilogy is a private community.

An officer on River Road saw a car parked in an empty lot, that was not normally there.  He approached it to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary and saw false registration stickers on the van (DMV says it had expired in July, but there were current registration tabs on it).  The officer contacted the sleeping driver and saw drug paraphernalia inside the van.  After interviewing the man and a subsequent search, they found heroin and methamphetamine also.  He also had a warrant for his arrest from San Joaquin County.  The driver was arrested for his warrant and the drug charges.

September 16

A homeowner on Riverwood Lane had left their garage door open all night.  When the realized this the next day, they looked through the garage and saw two items had been taken.  Officers searched for any evidence and tried to locate surveillance footage.  This case is still under investigation.
