THE FILM, “LIVING SOIL”, SCREENS THE SAME NIGHT
Vacaville, California: The Ag & Art Film Festival (AAFF) will kick off their 3rd season with a party at Ruhstaller Farm (6686 Sievers Road, Dixon) on Tuesday, September 7th at 6:30. The party is open for all film lovers and ag & art supporters to attend. Guests can enjoy Ruhstaller’s locally grown & brewed beer at the farm – the region’s only “soil-to-sip” brewery.
“What better way to celebrate local agriculture than to be at an actual farm, eating or drinking what was grown and made there with love? When I started the film festival in 2019, one thing I wanted to be sure we did every year was to immerse our guests in the experience of local agriculture – whether that be drinking the wine that was grown in the vineyard we were sitting next to, or eating meals from local restaurants where has chef has prepared meals utilizing local produce (or as a “take & go” picnic option to be consumed before the movie), or, as in the opening night’s case, drinking the beer that was grown, harvested and made right there!” – Lisa Murray, Festival Director.
One of Vacaville’s favorite spots to grab a quick lunch or dinner, Hank & Hazel’s Really Good Sausages, will have their sausage cart at Ruhstaller for guests to enjoy with their beer. The festival’s opening night film, “Living Soil” will screen at 8:00 PM.
The Ag & Art Film Festival is an international platform to celebrate and raise awareness about agriculture and art/artists around the world. The festival launched in 2019.
Outdoor screening & event locations for the 2021 festival are Ruhstaller Beer Garden (Dixon), Soul Food Farm (Vacaville), Tolenas Winery (Fairfield), Araceli Farms (Dixon), Joyful Art Studio (Downtown Vacaville), Joyful Ranch (Vacaville), Be Love Farm (Vacaville), and Town Square (Vacaville).
