Ronald Frank Ramos

Ronald Frank Ramos

Thornton, California – Ronald Frank Ramos was born on October 27, 1952 in Hanford, California to Frank and Madeline Ramos of Rio Vista, CA. This humble, generous and kind man unexpectedly left his loving family on June 16, 2021. Ron attended Rio Vista High School where he was Student Body President and Captain of the golf team. He graduated with a BS in Business Administration from California State University of Sacramento, and was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. He went on to practice worker’s compensation for his entire career, throughout California and Arizona. In recent years he excelled as claims advocate with Loss Prevention Specialist, working from home, and no plans to retire.

When Ron was 18 and Debra was 15, they fell in love and they married on
August 25, 1973, while he was in college and in the Air Force Reserves. They had two children, Toby Edward Ramos in 1975, and Leslie Renae Heald in 1980. He waited patiently for his two grandbabies, Owen Zachary Heald, three 1/2 years old, and Aria Anne Heald, eighteen months old. He doted over them for the last three and a half years of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, his two children, his son-in-law Bruce, and his two grandchildren. He also left behind his sister Vickie Baumann and family, brother Roger
Ramos and family, brother-in-law Danny Bowers and family, sister-in-law Marie Bowers and family, plus numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, three godchildren and many dear friends. He joins in heaven his parents, his beloved in-laws, Robert and Wenona Bowers, of Sherman Island, and his
brother-in-law Charles Bowers. He will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate to know him.

Ron, with Debra, raised their family in Sacramento and then in Valencia, coaching endless sports teams and spending summers camping and on the water. Besides spending time with his family, he loved to fish, boat, golf, swim, play billiards, travel to Hawaii with Debra, and build his famous “Ramos Ranch” from the ground up. He cherished having loved ones over to play and party at his home in Thornton. In honor of his love for his home, his
Celebration of Life will be held at “Ramos Ranch” in Thornton, California on July 10, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. RSVP by email to Debra at dramosrn@aol.com. Ron’s wife and children thank all our family and friends for the outpouring of love and support.
