My name is Richie Goldstein and I live in Trilogy. Recently, my wife and I experienced the dreaded: “3 am Fire Alarm Beeping!” screaming at us to be safe and: CHANGE THE BATTERY, RESIDENT!”
“Oh boy!” I lamented. “It’s THAT time! I wish I had bought that ladder when it was on sale. Now I have to ask my friend, Enrique, who’s tall, to stand on my flimsy stool and change the battery!”
BUT:
When I approached Enrique, he smiled and asked: “Don’t you know that the Fire Department will come out and replace all of them at one time assuming other ones being of the same age, will also soon need replacement?” I DID NOT KNOW THAT! …and wondered how many others didn’t as well?
AND:
Yes, they came out and changed out all 3 fire alarms while giving us a lesson about how they work and how to watch for aging and other problems. But the best piece of knowledge learned that day was: This service is NOT offered in all fire districts. This is a special gift to the Rio Vista community!
