Rio Vista Ace Remodel Nears Completion

Rio Vista Speed Shop

Team is Ready to Serve the Community

Rio Vista Ace Hardware (known historically as Oil Well Materials) has been known for their commitment to customer service and local convenience for decades. The new owners took possession of the store in July of 2019 and quickly recognized the need to reimagine what the store could be to best support the community. As a result, since the beginning of the year, Rio Vista Ace Hardware has been working around the clock on a store remodel in an effort to create a shopping experience that meets and exceeds the needs of the community. While not totally complete, the makeover is impressive and extensive.

“From very early on, we had conversations with the prior owners, team members and customers about what they wanted from this store,” says co-owner Mark Schulein. “We took what we learned, mixed in what we know from our experiences and what you find today is a reflection of this. We’re very proud of the hard work of our team and proud of the improvements; and we are confident that the community will embrace these changes to their local Ace store.”

With extensive upgrades and a stylish new ambiance, Rio Vista Ace has redefined itself as a community resource and a store that the entire Rio Vista community can utilize. Boasting all of the products and services their local customers need, the newly renovated store is the perfect spot for local shoppers to take care of their home projects and improvements. Vastly improved departments within the store now provide customers with a professional atmosphere inspired by new paint, new fixtures, flooring and lighting.

Customers shopping during the remodeling efforts have been extremely pleased with the results. “I have been shopping at this store for 15 years,” said Jonathan S. on Rio Vista’s Google Business page. “They have done such a fantastic job at not only freeing up what used to be storage space into a completely new store with as much as 1,500 feet of (new) retail space. If there was a button I could push outside of the five stars,” he added, “I would rather be able to push the button for 10 stars!”

Another customer who reviewed the store on Google said, “Only getting better now! New owners are doing great on enlarging and remodeling.”

Other 5-star reviewers have stated the newly remodeled store is “much easier to shop.”

“Our customers have been super excited and grateful for the changes we’ve made,” says Manager Mike Neider, “and we hear this all day long. We have made it our mission to listen to all our customers’ needs and provide the best customer service possible so we can make it the best shopping experience each time they walk through our doors. We are proud to serve the Rio Vista community and love the feedback from customers to help us grow and raise the bar every day.”

Some of the other areas Rio Vista Ace Hardware’s remodeling efforts focused on include a large new side entrance and register area, a new grilling and BBQ “store within a store,” the addition of Stihl power equipment, automotive Chip Key cutting, a vast fastener area called “the Speed Shop” with over 30,000 unique fasteners for your home, office or hobby, and many other enhancements across the additional 2,000 square feet of new retail space while still providing hunting and fishing licenses, nursery and lumber products, and much more. In total, they have brought in thousands of new items not previously carried in this store, to best support the community.

Great news that also supports the focus and commitment of Rio Vista Ace Hardware is the recognition, just this week, by JD Powers that Ace Hardware has earned the “best in customer service award” for the 14th time in the past 15 years.

Wanna check out the newly remodeled store yourself? Stop by for a visit at 506 State Hwy 12 right here in beautiful Rio Vista. You can also call the store at (707) 374-6434 or shop online at acehardware.com and pick up in store!
