Forest landowners and other community members are invited to explore foundational forestry, fire and natural resources concepts with local experts at California Tree School. This “one-stop” learning event will be held in Paradise in Butte County on April 18 and in Eureka in Humboldt County on May 2.

Participants will get hands-on experience with forestry tools, learn how to promote fire resilience and gain knowledge and skills in a variety of subjects. No previous experience is necessary, and both sessions are open to all (age 15 and up).

California Tree School – sponsored by the California chapter of Society of American Foresters – is hosted by University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the UC ANR Fire Network and local partners.

The registration fee of $70 includes four classes, a catered lunch and refreshments, and the opportunity to engage with regional natural resource organizations during a lunchtime Exhibitor Fair. Partial scholarship funding is available.
